Anyone who wants to have a vacation where they can immerse themselves in culture, tradition, breathtaking natural beauty and the excitement of busy cities should visit the Philippines where you can do as much or as little as you like, the choice is yours.

The Philippines are an amazing part of the world which mix breathtaking natural scenery with the excitement of modern life perfectly. There’s a large Spanish influence in the Philippines and visitors will find that is more than evident in the food, art, language, dance and religion. In fact one of the most popular religious buildings in the Philippines, the Basilica Minore de San Sebastián is a stunning example of traditional Spanish architecture.

To really be able to experience the Philippines you need to have a vacation package that is tailored to your exact needs. Many people choose to book the different elements of their vacation separately. For instance they may book their flights with one travel operator and their hotel with another.

Whilst this is a perfectly acceptable and in some cases, cheaper way to plan your vacation, it can present certain problems. You might find that you are paying too much for your flights you might find that the hotel that you have booked does not meet your needs and is not quite as luxurious as you expected when you booked it.

Having a disappointment on your vacation can sometimes really put a downer on your experience; a poor quality hotel for instance can really make you feel miserable and long to be back at home once again.

To avoid any of these kinds of problems it is a good idea to book yourself onto one of the many vacation packages to Philippines that are available within our site. Choosing to go on a vacation package means that the flights and hotel for your vacation travel are booked through the same travel agent and you will be able to choose the package that is right for you. Check out our Special hotel *PROMO* rates.

Booking your vacation this way also means that you are able to choose the exact type of location and hotel that will best meet your needs. Depending on your budget, accommodations range from cheap to exclusive class rates. In general however, a stay in the Philippines is wonderfully cheap. Inland attractions also abound like cave explorations, mountain climbing and hiking tours, as well as other overnight & day tours.

If you would like a vacation where you can really relax and unwind and feel as though you are 1,000,000 miles away from civilization why not visit the Limestone Islands in El Nido, Palawan? For those of you that are looking for something that is more fast-paced and puts you in the centre of the action why not opt for a stay in Cebu City, Manila?

Or enjoy the sunset in one of the finest tropical beaches in Asia — the Boracay Island. Don’t ever leave Philippines without a visit to the paradise of Boracay.

One thing is for sure whether you want to explore the Banaue Rice Terraces which date back up to 6000 years or take in the sights and sounds as you stroll down Burnham Park in Baguio City , the Philippines is destined to be an unforgettable experience that will be remembered for many years to come.

Not enough? Here’s a list of more reasons why you should choose Philippines vacation packages.

Needed a break? Go to the Philippines! It simply is an amazing country. Reasonably cheaper for a developing country to visit, this archipelago is rich in both resources and unsurpassed natural beauty.

Ideally positioned in a temperate zone in the Pacific, the country is undeniably a showcase of natural beauty and grace. Having one of the longest shorelines in the world, exotic beach spots adorned its entire length and are a rich source of exciting kinds of flora and fauna. Seascapes and warm water seas are tourist heavens. This wealth of natural beauty is further supplemented by its rich cultural and historic legacy.

Composed of over 7 thousand islands, each one of them is a blend of wonderful people and panoramic sights. Filipinos as a people are themselves, a rich combination of strong, family oriented pre-colonial natives and foreigners — Asian, American, and European, which visited and stayed in the country for several centuries.

Such rich ancestry created in Filipinos the characteristics unique to them. They are a product of west and east having been colonized by European, American, and Asian countries. Tourists will never find themselves lost in this country. Filipinos, in general, are particularly hospitable to anyone esp. to strangers. Visitors to this country find it hard to resist in coming back. The allure of the Philippines has that addictive effect on any tourist.

Mesmerizing beaches are foremost destinations. Every island has its own share of beautiful beaches and breathtaking seascapes. Waterfront resorts are common in beaches along the entire stretch of coastlines. Depending on one’s budget, accommodations range from cheap to exclusive class rates. In general however, a stay in the Philippines is wonderfully cheap. Inland attractions also abound like cave explorations, mountain climbing and hiking tours, and other outdoor activities.

Unforgettable the attractions maybe, tourist will find that food is also a rich delight in this country. Fruits and vegetables are plenty and at a very cheap price. Fish and meat are also very affordable. If you are even lucky enough and happens to visit a certain place during a fiesta, you’ll be in awe in the richness of Philippine delicacies and the amount of food being prepared. Filipinos are hearty eaters and it is not uncommon for them to eat at least six times every day including three full meals.

Okay, so this country is definitely a must-see destination and rightly so. So what exactly are the showcases of your Philippine vacation packages?

We recommend you to check out these must-visit places of interest in the country;

If Manila holds the honor of being the Philippines’ capital city Cebu rightfully claims the right to be the capital of the group of islands in the southern part of the Philippines. Also called Sugbu by the natives, this beautiful city has also a wealth of historical significance for the Philippines and the world when Spain was the reigning global power centuries ago. No vacation package in the Philippines is complete without Cebu in the list.

Cebu was thrown into world significance in the early 1500s when one of her sons, Lapu-lapu killed Ferdinand Magellan, the world famous explorer serving under Spain’s crown, in the battle of Mactan. The site of the battle is still commemorated today in Punta Engaño in Mactan. This island is separated by a narrow channel from the main island and today is connected by a bridge.

One of the many places of interest in Cebu is the Magellan’s Cross, the site where Magellan ordered a wooden cross erected as he sat foot on the island. A monument for the original cross was built just across the only Catholic Basilica in East Asia during the Spanish occupation.

This city is also known for its colorful and world-class festival — Sinulog. Held every third Sunday of January, this celebration honors the Santo Niňo (Holy Child), the patron of this deeply religious city. Activities include float parades on Cebu’s main thoroughfares, dancing, singing and chanting along the whole procession. The main attraction is the ritual dance commemorating the Cebuano pagan origin and their acceptance of Christianity. It is the local version of Mardi Gras. The festival is so popular that accommodations are already full weeks before the event. It would not hurt then to book your accommodations in advance.

Cebu as an island is not replete with beautiful beaches. Countless world-class resorts are scattered throughout this island. For diving enthusiasts, Mactan is a famous destination featuring world caliber diving spots and resorts as well.

Located right in the center of the archipelago, Cebu is also a commercial artery in the country. The island boasts of its cheap but quality produce. Tourists should go to Carbon Market to try a variety of fresh fruits, vegetables, fish and meat.

The Queen City of the South is accessible by air, sea, and land. It is an hour away by air from Manila. If you’re trip can afford a leisurely vacation you can try the 23-hour voyage by ferry.

Situated in the middle of the archipelago, Boracay commands to be on top of the list for the top vacation destination in the Philippines. What makes Boracay synonymous to paradise?

Obviously, the first reason is its stunning beauty. Included in the top 10 beach destinations in the world in 2007, Boracay is known for its sand — a long stretch of powdery fine, white sand that accents the turquoise beach water — and its famous sunrise and sunsets. One cannot forget the magnificence of this tiny island.

With over 200 resorts along its 30 beaches, this Eden receives over 300,000 tourists annually. Its unspoiled beauty is due largely to the light touch of modern civilization. Isolated geographically, Boracay is separated by a narrow straight from Panay Island. Although the island can be accessed by both air and sea, the final 30-minute leg is being serviced by motorized “bancas” dedicated to transporting tourists and natives alike to and fro the island.

The second reason is the people. Filipinos cannot but help themselves being hospitable. This is true to even the educated ones not living on the island. The cultural legacy of Filipinos to be kind to strangers can still be felt strongly in this island.

Every tourist can expect any form of help – from finding their way to grand resorts that littered this 630-hectare paradise to the humble abode of the natives. Yes, Filipinos would heartily welcome any stranger that may come their way to the extent of allowing them to sleep in their matrimonial beds. Anybody can feel the genuine joy of Filipinos in dealing with anyone. One cannot but feel at home in this island and more.

The third reason is that the island is also good for the body. All kinds of food are guaranteed fresh. The island being a former fishing village, one will not miss the aroma of all kinds of grilled fish and meat anytime of the day especially during the morning. Natives in this area of the country are fish eaters but there’s no shortage for fruits as well.

Foreign food are also served in almost all cafes and resorts so it is no wonder if you will gain a few pounds after staying for even just a couple of days. For the more energetic breed, there are just countless forms of exercise littering the beach ranging from a pointless stroll in the morning to a night of partying and dancing.

If your interest lies in exploring the deep and checking on nature’s underwater delights, the island is rich in marine wealth and the coral reefs around it are preserved. For the lazy kinds, spending time outside will give one a healthy exposure of a sun soaked day — a real paradise for sun-worshippers.

Boracay, stamped in the minds of many that have trodden its pristine shores, will always be the perfect image of paradise. If one plans to visit the country, your vacation package to the Philippines will never be complete if you will fail to savor the heavenly shores of this unique island.

Idyllic beaches, thousands of kilometers of unexplored stretch of white sand, thousands of square miles of unexplored coral reef formations, blue-clear water — you name them and Palawan has them all. This huge chunk of paradise in the southeast part of the Philippine archipelago offers such variety of vistas and seascapes that it is considered one of its kinds in the world.

Being the biggest province in the country, any tourist, whether local or foreign, will find out that a month of full exploration will never be enough. National Geographic Magazine November -December 2007 issue selected this province as one of the excellent beach destination in the world. Needless to say, Palawan should top the list in one of the many Philippine vacation packages.

The following are some of the popular destinations:

El Nido and its clusters of Islands

Located in the northern tip of the province, this spot is known for its first class resorts and unique island and islet formations. This marine reserve is also noted for its popular Bird’s Nest Soup, an expensive and rare edible bird’s nest harvested from limestone outcroppings and cliff found only in this group of islands.

Honda Bay

Any tourist who longs for underwater marvels should go to this fish sanctuary. This area is home to rare and colorful aquatic organisms and fish. One can either go snorkeling or enjoy the deep by diving. And its shores are dotted by multiple world class resorts always ready to welcome any exhilarated tourist. This spot is only 30 minutes away from the provincial capital Puerto Princesa.

Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park

This awesome formation of coral reefs is a UNESCO World Heritage Site honoree due to its distinct beauty. Covering 33,200 hectares, it is composed of 2 atolls that are home to many endangered species of turtles and birds in this part of the world.

St. Paul Subterranean National Park

Palawan is also an island that holds numerous historical caves and natural tunnels carved for millions of years. This particular site showcases networks of underwater caves and rivers. Awesome formation of stalactites and stalagmites are but some of the common sights that will be encountered in this underground getaway. Colorful stones and huge rock chambers are excellent displays of natural beauty. Together with the Tubbataha Reef National Marine Park this destination were nominated among the “New 7 Wonders of Nature”.

These and countless other sights like the exotic animal species organic only on this island as the Palawan Parrots, Palawan Monkeys, Scaly Ant Eater, Palawan Peacock, Mongoose, Bear cats, mouse deer, and Porcupine are but some of the package that awaits tourists in this majestic island. Palawan is considered the Philippine’s last frontier obviously because of those panoramic views and attractions.

Palawan can be reached by air and ferry. There are daily flights from Manila and vice versa.

The Philippines is not just rich in scenic beaches but also of monumental feats at par with any ancient wonders all over the world. Ancient Filipinos are skilled farmers and engineers as well.

With vision and skill they carved whole mountainsides to allow them to cultivate rice to feed their growing population 2000-6000 years ago. Without the aid of advanced engineering tools and equipment, the early people of Batad created their stairway to heaven rice paddies.

Ever wondered how it was done? Let’s take a look at the famous Banaue Rice Terraces that should always be included in your Philippine vacation package.

The creative minds of the indigenous people of Banaue several millennia ago were questioning how to best raise rice, a staple food for Filipinos ever since, in their mountainous villages. Banaue rises 5000 ft above sea level and the shortage for flat lands to best cultivate crops and rice is obvious.

In fact, the place is almost impossible to plant due to frequent land slides after heavy rains which are not uncommon in this part of the country. The thought of raising enough supply of food for all of them had always been a perennial question. Looking at their surrounding, what they see are competing peaks of the mountains that compose the Cordillera Mountain Range. Then someone had an interesting idea: build paddies on the mountainsides surrounding them.

I can only imagine how everyone could have agreed to do such daunting, if not totally impossible, feat. It would take all of them thousands of years to come up with the wonder that we so enjoy right now (well, that if you’ll go there and not content yourself with bland postcards). One has to go the place itself to feel the energy that permeates this amazing wonder.

The present terraces appear to be stepping stones that reached the clouds esp. during times when peaks are lost to fog. The entire length of this wonder if laid end to end would cover almost half around the world. No tourist will ever regret to spend some resources to feel and experience the awesome terraces. Actually, there are scattered similar terraces along the entire stretch of the Cordilleras but the most popular of them are the ones in Batad, Mayoyao, Hapao, and Kiangan.

These sites can be accessed by air-conditioned buses plying between Manila and Banaue. Accommodations vary from privately owned inns to the homes of the natives themselves. And do not forget to order that native delicacy called pinikpikan — broiled native chicken killed by striking it with tiny coconut leaf sticks. Yummy!

Baguio City, otherwise known as the summer capital of the Philippines, is a unique tourist destination. Perched on the mountains of the Cordillera range, this city is a blend of Philippine folk and modern design. Its location gives it an almost temperate climate rarely found in this purely tropical country.

Situated about 1500 meters above sea level, one can imagine being in the clouds yet grounded in a purely urban setting. A city established by Americans in 1909, it was designed as an R&R destination for servicemen. It takes little effort for one to realize that this city is a must-go destination in one of Philippine vacation packages.

The city is one of the most visited sites in the country and is popular for both local and foreign tourists. It’s relatively small area boasts of 4 universities and a number of colleges and educational centers. It is really an education hub since Baguio City has only 49 square kilometer area.

The first attraction that would greet tourists is the Burnham Park. Originally conceived to be a retreat from the hectic city life of Manila, this park turned into a traditional magnet for tourists. Traditional festivities are usually performed in this park. It is a perfect gathering place for hikers, skaters, bikers and ordinary strollers. This manmade lagoon was named after its creator Daniel Burnham.

If one is interested on the economic side of the community, Mines View Park can give a clue. The site boasts of the breathtaking view of the abandoned entrances and exits of mines that littered the gold-rich hills of this city. Today Mines View Park has also transformed itself into a bazaar where tourists can shop for any souvenir items the locale can offer. The produce of the province found their way here. One cannot miss all kinds of jams and woodcraft that are a feast for the eyes.

Camp John Hay is also the name of the famous R&R facility of American military since WWII until they were expelled of the country in the early 90s. This resort has now become a world class tourist destination due to its extravagant hotel type rooms, an 18-hole golf course, heated swimming pool, and a six-lane bowling court.

Folk religiosity is demonstrated by the famous Baguio Cathedral. This landmark is a beacon that brings faithful and non-faithful alike to visit its unique architecture. This is just one of the main features of many religious centers that find solace in this locality.

The city also hosts the country’s only military school, the Philippine Military Academy. This institution molds future military leaders of the country in the arts of war.

These and other countless interesting sites in Baguio are all cramped within a relatively small area. This means easier travel, affordable accommodation and a healthy invitation for a walk to visit each site. Baguio City never fails to amaze even the most travel-experienced tourist.

This wonderful city is accessible by both land and air. Buses run regular trips on the three main roads to Baguio from Manila — Kennon Road, Marcos Highway, and Naguilian Highway.

The Philippines is blessed with over 7000 islands and one of them, Samal Island, is not an ordinary one. Unusually peaceful and quite for an island in the Philippines, this tourist destination is located just off the Gulf of Davao in the southern portion of the country. Its relatively calm weather can be felt for most of the year as the island, like most of Mindanao, is outside the typhoon belt.

If you’re planning Your vacation package in the Philippines should include Samal, otherwise known as Island Garden City of Samal. What makes this tiny island an interesting place to go?

The Sun

Free of the perennial typhoon menace for most of the year, tourists can surely soak themselves with a healthy dose of sun’s rays. For the outdoors type they can hike to the islands secluded lagoons inland or stroll the beach lined with many resorts with exclusive restaurants. Beach areas have powdery white sand perfectly suited for family gatherings and games for the children.

Picnic huts, chairs for sunbathing and swaying coconut trees that provide shade are common along this long stretch of beach. Snorkel equipments can be rented for those untrained for scuba yet curious enough to explore the underwater wonders along the shore. Life in the beach can never be perfect here…and all the time having a truly satisfying experience with a sun-filled day.

The View

Yes, this island may not be as famous as Boracay Island but it has its own inherent beauty. The natural growth of its vegetation along the shores and inland are wonders themselves. Crystal clear water, gentle slopes of sand formations, and rock outcroppings ideal for a sunset leisure walk are all but some of the clearly discernable characteristics when one is still about to set off this magical island.

For nature lovers, coves and mangrove trees also line some part of the eastern beach area. Divers can fully appreciate the island’s secret by combing its underwater wealth. Samal was also a former pearl farming community so one can always ask the natives some tips how to look for tell tale sign of pearl bearing mollusk. Who knows you might get lucky and go home a pearl richer.

This terrific island can be reached by “banca”, the local term for a small boat, from Davao for an hour. A more comfortable ride would be through a regular ferry service from Sasa Bridge. Davao is easily accessible by plane from Manila (almost 2 hours) or Cebu (55 mins).

Located on the entrance of the historic Manila Bay, this tadpole-shaped island had been the gate that stood witness to the turbulent history of the Philippines. The island’s strategic significance is obvious even to military dummies.

The Spaniards converted the island into a fortress and an early warning outpost for the defenders of Manila. It was also a correctional facility during the Spanish era earning the name Corregidor, from the Spanish word “corregir”–the corrector. With a land area of approximately 3 square miles plus the much smaller Caballo Island at the tip, Corregidor does not look that significant on the map.

What makes this tiny island a worthy place to include in your Philippine vacation package?

Obviously, historical importance is foremost. This island would certainly be a good reminder of how the present Republic of the Philippines came into what it is now. This island took part in the Battle of Manila Bay, a one-sided battle in favor of the Americans, by lending support to Spanish forces through the use of fixed artillery position. The fading of Spain’s power in the late 1900s and the cessation of Philippines as its colony and the eventual arrival of Americans further boosted the defensive capabilities of this outpost.

The advent of Second World War in the Philippine shores again highlighted the utility of this well-defended bastion. Being equipped with powerful coastal artillery, it denied the Japanese an easy capture of Manila at the start of hostilities in the Pacific. It would take months and enough time for the famous American general MacArthur to plan his escape to Australia and continue the campaign against the Japanese.

The Americans created this island an almost impregnable strong point. It has bomb-shelters, hospitals, and several bunkers. There were also trails around the island. The main attraction for this spot is the Malinta Tunnel conceived to protect personnel and high value assets in case of war. The tunnel stood Japanese siege and bombardment and for a time served as the temporary headquarters for the government of President Manuel L. Quezon.

Remaining hardware of World War II vintage is preserved in the island making the island an historic monument and a popular tourist attraction. The US government built the Pacific War Memorial in honor of both Filipino and American defenders. The project was completed in 1968 and cost three million dollars. Just recently added Filipino Memorial depicts heroic battles fought by Filipino soldiers from 15th century to the present.

How to go to this battle hardened island? A regular trip by an air-conditioned ferry at 8 AM leaves CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard in Manila and returns in the afternoon. Any additional information likes extended stay or additional services are provided by the ferry operator as well.

Bohol is blessed with Nature’s priceless gifts such as numerous diving spots, enchanting waterfalls and the home of the smallest primate ever existed on Earth, and infamous Chocolate Hills which is nominated as one of the “New 7 Wonders of Nature”.

Not to mention, Bohol has become an international attraction due to its interesting activities that can only be found in this God’s Little Paradise as called by the locales. Such activities includes whale watching, river cruising, the lively Sandugo Festival and the Cambuhat Oyster Farming tour.

Those who have the penchant for the tropical waters will find a lot of idyllic beaches in Bohol. Offshore islands and islets coastlines which are rimmed by coves and shimmery white sands attract not only local tourists but foreigners as well. Taking a deep plunge in these tropic waters will definitely enchant the divers due to its breathtaking underwater corral reefs formations and a variety of marine wonders unique to these waters. To top up your aquatic adventure, a glimpse of whales and dolphins with the Pamilican Locales is a must-do activity.

A countryside tour is the main attraction of Bohol. Be dazzled by the more than a thousand caves to be explored. Visiting these underground wonders which house many stalactites and stalagmites would of great delight to those who are into cave exploration.

A short trek to Tarsier Trail will give the tourists a chance to actually touch and hold the Tarsiers. The Philippine Tarsier is a very peculiar small animal, in fact, the smallest known primates, no larger than an adult men’s hand. This tiny creature lives on a diet of insects. Folk tradition sometimes has it that Tarsiers eat charcoal but actually they retrieve the insects from (sometimes burned) wood.

The main attraction that still stands as the highlight to any visit to the island Province of Bohol is the catching the sight of Chocolate Hills. A climb to one of the World famous Chocolate Hills will give a perfect and fantastic view of the 1,268 haycock hills those look-like mounds of chocolates when the grass turns brown.

A trip to Bohol will never be a complete one without an experience and a glance to some of its festivals that exhibit the rich cultural history of Boholanos– the Sandugo Festival.

A river cruise in Loboc River should always be remembered. Several floating restaurants with a small band playing while enjoying the sumptuous Boholano cuisines will relax your system right after the adrenaline-pumping adventure around the province. It is definitely a perfect mix of fun, adventure, and knowledge of this historic spot that should never be missed in your Philippine vacation package.

Transportation to Bohol is very easy since the province is very accessible. The island can be reached by sea and air. Boat travel from Manila would normally take 25 hours and 55 minutes by plane.
